Oven Baked French Fries

4 - 5 medium potatoes
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 - 2 teaspoons sea salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1 teaspoon crushed rosemary (optional)

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Wash potatoes and cut into fries.

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and toss well to coat.

Spread fries on a large baking sheet.

Bake for 30 minutes.

Notes:

You can make extra and freeze them. Reheat in oven at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes. Perfect for a quick fix solution on a busy night!

Leave the skin on the potatoes for better nutrition.

Instead of tossing fries in oil, you can spray the pan and the tops of fries with olive oil. I do this with a Misto (see below). Then sprinkle your seasonings on top.

I never thought about using the oven; I use the microwave and slice the potatoes into "coins"...a.k.a. chips. It's so cold here I love using the oven...

I Misto - hugh? Maybe the Easter Bunny will bring me one??

Thanks for the great recipe.

You can use any spray oil on top, but I like the Misto because you load it with whatever oil you want and there's no chemicals or propellants involved.

I also follow this same recipe with diced potatoes and cook up 5 pound batches at a time to freeze. It's nice to have a ready made side dish. Hope you like them!
